Mike Sadowski
With a career spanning 17 years at the Saskatoon Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP), Mike Sadowski is a seasoned professional in the field of wastewater management. He has held various roles with the WWTP, including Operations Manager, Maintenance Manager, and currently serves as the Plant Manager. Mike's expertise extends to the operation of Biological Nutrient Removal (BNR) plants, and he has played a significant role in numerous plant expansions and the implementation of innovative technologies. Notably, he has spearheaded initiatives in nutrient recovery and, most recently, led the adoption of a pilot study focused on process intensification utilizing Mobile Organic Biofilm (MOB). Actively engaged with the American Water Works Association (AWWA) for over a decade, Mike currently serves as the Past Chair for the board, demonstrating his commitment to advancing industry standards and best practices.
Michael Beal
Michael Beal brings over 7 years of dedicated service to the Saskatoon Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP), where he has focused on operations and process engineering. In his current capacity as the Senior Process Lead, Michael is responsible for overseeing and validating the pilot implementation of the Mobile Organic Biofilm (MOB) system—a cutting-edge advancement in wastewater treatment technology. His expertise lies in optimizing plant operations and enhancing process efficiency to ensure environmental sustainability and regulatory compliance. With a keen eye for innovation and a hands-on approach to problem-solving, Michael plays a vital role in driving continuous improvement initiatives within the organization.
